United's Future Midfield Terrors

Brilliant, simply brilliant! Finally Manchester United has the answer for three of their most difficult questions. Who could ever replace :
1) David Beckam
2) Paul Scholes
3) Ryan Giggs

I’m sure Sir Alex Ferguson was thinking about this once a while whenever he chews on those gums during match day. But thanks to Carlos Queiroz, we own three of the brightests prospects modern football has to offer!

1) Cristiano Ronaldo. This boy, in my humble opinion has already cemented himself to win this year’s FIFA Player of the Year award. As a winger, he has scored an astonishing 36 goals in all competition this season. This level of performance would certainly put the likes of celebrated strikers to shame! He’s brilliant in his freekicks, he plays very well in both foot, his heading would certainly put a smile on Teddy Sheringham’s face, excellent dribbling and tricks for our entertainment, and most importantly.. massive hunger for goals. Funny thing is .. he is still 23 years young! Beckham who?

2) Very few brazillians managed to make a mark in the Premiership. United had one before, but you know how that ended up. When news came up that United had signed a brazilian teenager from the Portuguese league, many were skeptical on what they feel, a huge risk. However, Anderson surprised everyone by adapting quickly in United’s way of playing the game. For some reason, he reminds me of Paul Scholes, minus the long powerful freekick which the ginger haired lad is good at. Maybe Anderson is practicing on that, you’d never know!

3) Nani has always given me the impression that he will end up as big as Ronaldo, if he is given more first team action. With Ryan Giggs still playing, he has to be our supersub from the bench. But we all saw how brilliant this kid is since the season’s preseason game itself. Almost all of Nani’s goals so far were brilliant, and to add some cream on the cake, he ends the goal with his trademark double flip summersault. The funny thing is, the more the gaffer tells him not to do that flip, he seems to be doing it. LOL!!
With these guys on pitch, along with the likes of Rooney, Tevez, Vidic, Evra, Ferdinand … wow, the world domination is within our reach!

Gone in the Gunner ??

Honestly it was sad watching Thierry Henry leave Arsenal. I felt he was the only reason why the Gunners are title contender every season, and when he gets injured, all hell breaks loose in Arsene Wenger's mind. His departure will certainly leave the floodgates open for more leavers, with the boss himself a prime candidate. The Gunners ought to replace Henry's void ASAP if they want to keep Wenger for sure. Personally I feel Samuel Eto would do well for Arsenal. He has a good goal scoring record and he is quick. Something similar with Henry, but of course he needs to adapt to the English game. One who doesn't need much adaptation would be Owen Hargreaves who has finally put pen on paper to sign for Manchester United. Having said that, I am really looking forward for the coming season. All these years I have been rambling about Man Utd's lack of ambition to recruit some midfield players, and even the ones they bought were crappy (remember djemba djemba??). But with Anderson, Nani and Hargreaves coming in, I see a better future for the Red Devils. Glory Glory Man Utd!

Malaysia, Nani and Anderson

So the word is out, Manchester United is NOT coming to Malaysia!!! Reason because AFC says that the upcoming AFC Cup is more important and it should be the highlight of the month instead of United's visit! Such nutcase, anyone would want Man Utd to come down and play their national team. It would certainly be a good warm-up match for the Malaysian national team to play against Man Utd, although they are certain to lose like 7-0, lol.

Nani

Anderson

However, good news is Man Utd has signed two exceptional players in Nani and Anderson! Kudos SAF! So what if Nani has played badly in his last international match, he is still young and its an experience for him. So what if he cost more then £10 million? Remember when Man Utd bought Ronaldo, everyone said that being a teenager, he was not worth the millions spent. Look who's laughing now. I forsee the same scenario in Nani & Anderson. In time, Ronaldo might have to compete for the next Player of the Year award for all I know! LOL

Man Utd lands Brazilian whizkid twins

MANCHESTER UNITED have signed identical Brazilian twins as their future full-backs. Fabio and Rafael Silva put pen to paper on pre-contract agreements from Brazilian side Fluminese. The youth internationals will join up with United on July 9, when they turn 18.Rafael revealed it was Cristiano Ronaldo who sealed the deal.

The right-back said: “When we were negotiating, Cristiano Ronaldo phoned us saying that Manchester United was a tremendous club and it was a wonderful place to play football.”.

Left-back Fabio said: “We were there to be familiar with the club and we played part of a friendly match.

“We were on the same pitch as Rooney and Ronaldo. They were very kind with us.”

We will be back Chelsea!

You all would have guessed the outcome of the game, yea Manchester United lost, else I would have been gloating my way Sunday itself. Though I personally feel that we were robbed of victory, but we have to accept that history cant be changed. Looking on the bright side of things, Manchester United is still the League champions, which will make them Champions of England for at least a year! And with the arrival of Owen Hargreaves and hopefully Nani, we will be stronger then ever. Chelsea fans : Congrats for winning the FA Cup! Cherish the moment while you can, cuz we're coming to get it back next year! :-)

FA CUP Final : Three more hours

Three more hours for kickoff and the excitement is mounting. I'll all dressed up in my United jersey, hoping the John Terry twisted his leg over some banana skin and maybe .. maybe Peter Cech is down with tummy upset (too much cheese cakes maybe, mmmmm I wonder).

Transfer rumour says that Michael Owen might be joining Man Utd for £11m. How exciting could that be. Imagine Michael Owen with Wayne Rooney upfront, supported by Cristiano Ronaldo and Giggs down each flacks! Sir Alex Ferguson if you read this (the odd for that to happen is like .. mmm .. ''don't dream Thiru''), SIGN OWEN NOW!!

Double Champions : Chelsea or Manchester United?

Tomorrow night would be judgment day for both Manchester United & Chelsea when they both meet up at the new Wembley stadium. The FA Cup is up for grabs, with both powerhouses trying to be Double Champions for season 2006/07.

Having won the League Cup, Chelsea would need this win desperately in order to prove the world that they have not surrendered their dominancy to the new Manchester United team. Even worse, Chelsea’s manager Jose Mourinho’s future might be in future doubt if Chelsea fails to win tomorrow.

If Manchester United beats Chelsea tomorrow, they would bag two trophies this year, being champions of the English Premier League and the FA Cup. For a team who has been playing tremendous football for the whole season, they deserved it. Something I wish Man Utd to win of course! (cuz I'm a die hard Manchester United fan)

GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!!
